Raspados
Inspired by images of ice-cream vendors in the middle between police lines and angry protestors in Nicaragua. The functionality and innocuous presence of the everyday raspados cart is taken and used in a way as to have potential for revolutionary change. The cart which is fully functional and used to actually serve raspados (shaved ice) is also designed and used as a vehicle to carry lanza-morteros and disseminate anti-government propaganda. Using its position as an everyday inoffensive street vehicle to traffic subversive and insurgent action.
